Aeropolis is a Course in both F-Zero GX and F-Zero AX. There are three different tracks in total between these two titles.

Overview[]

The entire region of Aeropolis is controlled by a super computer. The central control unit, called "Mother-Q," stores and computes detailed information on all Aeropolis citizens to create the ideal living environment. Because of the dramatic population increase, Mother-Q has created skyscrapers that can regenerate themselves breeding new structures to house the ever-increasing Aeropolis community.

Appearance in the games[]

Aeropolis Dragon Slope Blue Falcon

A race through Aeropolis (Dragon Slope).

Aeropolis only appears in F-Zero GX/AX and comprises three circuit configurations.

  • Multiplex is the final race of the Ruby Cup. The course configuration includes several 90-degree L-turns including a pair in rapid succession that form a vertical hairpin that serves as the start of the circuit's middle portion. There are also gravel patches that must be avoided to maintain speed and the circuit ends with a small minefield and a pair of slip zones.
  • Dragon Slope is found in the Diamond Cup. The course unusually begins right in front of a pit zone then takes the racers through a series of corkscrew bends that goes through a full rotation before dropping them into the track's signature feature; the "dragon slope", which is comprised of a rapid progression of very high drops across small floating track segments, presumably to emulate the fins along a dragon's spine. After this there is a segment where the only drivable portions of roadway are either covered in a slip zone along the center or gravel patches on the sides, forcing drivers to pilot their machines smoothly to avoid losing control or speed.
  • Screw Drive is the opening race of the AX Cup and, in contrast to the previous Aeropolis circuits, one of the easiest courses to drive. There are no obstacles or hazards to avoid here while the course's main design attribute is the 360-degree looping section in the middle that wraps around the start of the circuit.

Anime[]

It has actually appeared twice in the anime, both in Lap 13 in Japan and 11 in English, Blow Out, and Lap 40, Coffee Break. Even though they're both based on Multiplex...

Trivia[]

  • There is a hidden R.O.B. in the map that can't be viewed, unless by hacking the game.
